Engineering Services
- Independent Design/Project Reviews
- Independent review of proposed engineering, procurement, and construction activities associated with nuclear and non-nuclear processes and facilities. These reviews typically include evaluation of selected long lead procurement activities, risk management plans, costs, and schedules.
- Expert panel review support. These reviews include evaluation of the technical adequacy and scalability of the science, effective translation of the science to engineering and design, and the ability to operate and maintain the proposed facilities economically to meet the critical mission needs.
- Facility/System Assessments
- Using a vertical slice methodology, critical attributes of systems, facilities, projects, and programs are evaluated by a multi-disciplined team for both individual and integrated effects. Our methodology has proven successful in both the DOE and commercial nuclear industry.
- Operations and Regulatory Services
- We've provided technical support, subject matter experts, and team coordination and management to the USNRC and DOE in conducting specific site reviews/inspections. Typical responsibilities include physical inspection activities, document reviews, interviews, meeting support, and report preparation.
- Preparation and delivery of technical briefings to executive forums and regulatory groups.
- Provide technical management and support to clients in preparation for regulatory driven Independent Safety Assessments/Inspections.
Project Management / Project Control
- Development of Project Manager training programs.
- Independent cost estimates for various activities and facilities at various stages of project maturity (i.e. CD-1, 2, etc.)
- Planning and scheduling support up to and including development of project plans, integrated schedules, and tracking/trending reports
