The U.S. Government's official portal, www.USA.gov, was conceived to provide a simple, straight-forward mechanism for the public to locate information and services available from the United States government, without the need to know which federal agency to contact.

InfoZen Expertise

InfoZen has been involved in all the facets of the buildout of USA.gov, beginning with its initial architecture and design in July 2000. At that time, InfoZen was tasked with projecting the needs, scale and user traffic for site concept and writing requirements for the project within one week. InfoZen was selected by GSA as the site architect based on the company's extensive experience in portal development and search engines.

InfoZen provides system architecture, design, installation, programming and testing services for ongoing support and enhancements to the USA.gov web portal. InfoZen also provides content quality assurance for the site, Section 508 compliance testing and graphic design services.

Results

USA.gov was launched by President Clinton on September 22, 2000 and today delivers 24/7 access to 27 million Web pages and 20,000 government Web sites in a way that focuses on the needs of citizens and businesses. Over 200,000 web sites link to USA.gov.
