2009 North American Customer Value Enhancement of the Year Award
InfoZen Receives 2009 North American Customer Value Enhancement of the Year Award from Frost & Sullivan
PRNewswire/ December 14 2009—
Frost & Sullivan is proud to present the 2009 North American Customer Value Enhancement of the Year Award to InfoZen in the area of homeland security information fusion and mission support
Homeland security is a very challenging market for service providers. From an end-user standpoint, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has dynamic requirements that need to adapt to meet the changing threat profile to the nation's security. From a technology perspective, many of the requirements of DHS agencies demand proven solutions that can be fielded quickly, while keeping costs down. In such an environment, InfoZen stands out as one of the top five fastest growing companies doing business with DHS.
As DHS continues to define the scope of its mission and grow as a government agency, spending on services is expected to increase. Successful companies in the homeland security market must be nimble enough to respond to, and help guide the essential reactive nature of DHS. At the same time, these companies must continue to employ innovative technologies and thought processes to solve the information and support needs of a growing government agency.
From fiscal year 2005 to 2009 InfoZen's market share within DHS increased at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 114.7 percent. In fiscal year 2009, the company received several contracts from DHS for information fusion and mission support services. InfoZen has experienced this success based on a customer focused, mission oriented business strategy.
"As a small business, often competing with the larger systems integrators, InfoZen has been able to prove to the customer, through enhanced value, that it is capable of delivering industry-leading, mission-based services on time and within budget," says Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst, David Fisherling. "InfoZen attributes its success to fully understanding the DHS mission, being innovative and nimble, and having the right resources available at the right price to provide best value."
InfoZen is the prime contractor for many of the projects that it is currently working on. Within DHS, the company established a presence with the respective agencies long before the Department was established and before many of the tier one integrators were interested. As a result, InfoZen has been able to beat the larger companies and is often in a position of leverage when it comes to working with the traditional prime defense contractors. Despite its advantageous position, it remains grounded and continues to add to its capabilities and extend its reach into multiple services across a wide customer base.
InfoZen's major customer within DHS is the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Using its RapidAdjudicator(TM) software platform, InfoZen has been providing TSA with automated threat assessments for all at risk populations in the United States. More recently, the company was selected as a prime contractor for the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Administrative and Professional Business Services (CAPs) contract. Additionally, InfoZen has just been chosen by DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as part of an integrated project team to develop an Automated Threat Prioritization (ATP) as a web service for ICE-targeted individuals nationwide.
"The double to triple digit growth that the company has witnessed over the last five years will be sustained through InfoZen's ability to enhance customer value," says Fisherling. "Current products and services are addressing niche areas, which allows InfoZen to specialize, to some degree, ensuring that the customer is not partnering with a 'jack-of-all-trades'."
InfoZen's core competency remains in the operation and management of mission critical systems and solutions for National Security Threat Assessment and Fraud Detection in entitlement programs. It is working to make sure that its customers can complete their mission, from terrorist threat assessments to business administration, in the most effective and efficient manner. In short, InfoZen has provided DHS with the services and tools that the agency needs. As a small business, InfoZen is able to do this for a price that the customer can appreciate. The end result is an increase in value for the customer, and a growing share of the market for InfoZen.
In recognition of these achievements, Frost & Sullivan is proud to present InfoZen with the 2009 North American Customer Value Enhancement of the Year Award, in the market of homeland security information fusion and mission support.
Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has demonstrated excellence in implementing strategies that proactively create value for its customers with a focus on improving the return on the investment that customers spend in their services or products. The award recognizes the company's inordinate focus on enhancing the value that its customers receive beyond simply good customer service, leading to improved customer retention and ultimately customer base expansion.
Frost & Sullivan's Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices in the industry.
