PricewaterhouseCoopers Java Community Process

Constituent Management System

E-voting system for the Java Community Process

In support of the Java standards community, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) provides a portal for electing members to the Java Community Process (JCP) Executive Committees. The portal required a web-based eVoting mechanism for supporting online nomination and election of members to the JCP Executive Committees.

Results

Member companies can log into the system and nominate themselves for any of the vacant positions. After the nomination period, voting ensues for these nominees by the eligible voting community and when the election period is over, the winners are declared. Web pages available only to managers permit PwC to upload the database of eligible companies and their authorization codes. Other management screens permit PwC to set the time period for the nominations and the elections, as well as view the nomination and election processes.
